About us

The aim of the group is to research and develop methods for the realistic simulation of physical phenomena through the mathematical modelling of these phenomena and its solution by using analytical, numerical and symbolic methods. Also, the Applied Mechanics group promotes the research and learning of the basic theories of the Applied Mechanics at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

For financial opportunities and scholarships within the Applied Mechanics Group please contact Professor Juan Gomez.

Congratulations to Andrés Aguirre and Camilo Valencia who were selected as recipients of Colciencias scholarships to conduct their PhD programs at EAFIT in Grupo de Mecánica Aplicada. They will continue their undergoing research on fluid mechanics and wave propagation respectively
